The A.R.T. app stands for AttorneysRealTime.com. It is a service that provides attorneys online by video chat, which specializes in providing legal representation, during engagement with law enforcement, so the citizen can retain and enact their full legal rights. Also, the app provides a service for the attorney to provide legal monitoring during a law enforcement interaction which charges a smaller attorney fee, in lieu of legal representation. For other general legal questions and counseling, the app also provides the ability to search for an attorney currently available online by video chat, to discuss legal issues with the client, as well as schedule future legal consultations, if the attorney isn’t presently available to have a video chat.

No. The A.R.T. app is constructed where a client pays by the minute, relative to legal services rendered by attorneys that would currently be available online. A limited retainer agreement is authorized during the sign-in process between the client and attorney, which generally discloses the extent of legal services that the attorney will provide for the client at that time. Each specific attorney may offer additional stipulations to the limited retainer agreement between them and client, in order to retain their particular legal service. There are no monthly or yearly subscriptions and/or commitments required by the attorney or client.
The A.R.T. app focuses on preserving the rights of citizens, during engagement with law enforcement.
The attorneys on the A.R.T. app that provide this type of service can fully engage the law enforcement official by via chat, where the client/citizen can have assurance that are their rights are being fully protected with qualified legal oversight. Along with that, the A.R.T. app doesn’t require any longstanding financial commitments to use the app. It provides the client the option to ‘pay-as-you-go’ for any legal services they would want to retain.
The app is free to download. For clients, there is a nominal technology fee if a video chat is conducted with an attorney (i.e. either for legal monitoring/representation during a law enforcement interaction or for legal counseling), along with the specific rates the attorney charges per minute. There is no charge (i.e. technology fee, nor attorney’s fee) unless the video chat is conducted between the client and the attorney.
The team at the A.R.T. app is currently working with federal, state, and local officials to devise a strategy to help ease the financial burdens of individuals you may not be able to afford basic legal services, particularly with immediate engagements with law enforcement and other general legal questions. The A.R.T. app team is working to develop partnerships with the legal community and will provide feedback as those plans are continued.
Any attorneys or firms desiring to provide pro bono legal help to those qualifying for legal services, can use this app to render that level of legal support
The A.R.T. app does not provide legal advice nor is a law firm.
The information between the attorney and client is confidential and private. Please review the Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy directives of how attorney-client information is protected with this app
When the video chat is generally and mutually ended between the attorney and client, the per minute rate charged by the attorney will cease and obligations relative to the limited retainer agreement will be considered as met. Any new engagement to solicit legal help will be considered a new matter, which would then require new limited retainer agreement authorization, along with new legal cost for services (NOTE: If the video chat is terminated due to technical issues or involuntarily terminated by a law enforcement official, no legal charges from the point of termination will be charged to the client).
All payments to the attorney are done through payment portals inside of the app. Any payments outside of this portal are strictly prohibited, and if discovered, could terminate the client and attorneys access to the site.
Each attorney on the app can charge their specific hourly rate for legal monitoring, legal representation, or legal counseling. The client will have the ability to look at each particular attorney’s rate, when they are making the decision of which lawyer to choose, based on their legal need. There is a small split on the per minute rate, where the majority rate paid by the client would go to the attorney and a minor rate would go to the app.
